AKON and WYCLEF JEAN stunned the audience at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) this weekend (10-11Oct09) by stripping off on stage.The cheeky pair hogged the limelight at the awards show in Nairobi, Kenya by holding a live contest for the a fictitious "best man" honour with a series of acrobatic exercises and 25 press-ups. But the challenge became x-rated as they dared each other to disrobe until they were both in their underwear. The contest stopped when Akon threatened to remove his boxer shorts, telling Jean, "You wanna see this, do you? Who's the man now Clef?" The rest of the show was dominated by Kenyan artists with Nameless taking home the Best Male artist, while his hit track Sunshine triumphed in the Listeners’ Choice category. Kenyan singer Amani was awarded the Best Female prize. The show also saw tributes to South African rapper Lucky Dube, who was murdered in 2007, and late King of Pop Michael Jackson. AKON is preparing to become a father for the sixth time - the R+B singer will welcome a baby boy with a woman he met during a tour of Uganda.Reports first surfaced in May (09), claiming the Lonely hitmaker was expecting a child with Susan Owori, the younger sister of fashion designer Sylvie Owori. The Senegal-born star has now revealed the pair will soon welcome a son, confirming, “It’s a boy..." Akon also used the opportunity to hit back at reports he's a bad father to his other five children, from three previous relationships, telling the New York Daily News, "I think kids are a blessing. I never ran away from my responsibilities and I never plan to. Everything I am doing now is for (my other five kids) anyway, so the more kids I can have, the better. I just love them."

AKON's lawyers have denied the star is running away from his fatherly responsibilities - after the mother of one of his children claimed she's unable to serve him with child support papers.Sara Coleman has been desperately trying to reach the singer in a bid to hand over papers requesting child maintenance payments since the baby was proven to be Akon's over a month ago. Coleman's legal team has tried in vain to get the documents to the Smack That hitmaker - even at Michael Jackson's memorial, according to TMZ.com. But Akon's lawyers have dismissed accusations Akon is not willing to pay for his six month old child - insisting the legalities surrounding the case have been difficult due to the star and Coleman living in separate states.
