EMINEM's publishers and bosses at Apple Inc. have settled a lawsuit over 93 songs the rapper's bosses alleged were not permitted for download.Apple executives and publishers at Eight Mile Style reached a deal on Thursday (01Oct09) in the dispute over royalty payments for the Stan hitmaker's tracks, offered to fans via the iTunes Internet music service. Bosses at Eight Mile sold song rights to Aftermath Records but claimed the label was not authorized to make a separate deal with Apple and offer the songs as downloads. Eminem's publishers also claimed Apple gained $2.58 million (GBP1.72 million) from the iTunes downloads, including over $465,000 (GBP310,000) from the rapper's 8 Mile soundtrack hit Lose Yourself. Details of the settlement have not been publicly disclosed.

Rapper EMINEM is determined to prove he once had a relationship with MARIAH CAREY - he has threatened to release intimate photos and voicemail tapes from their affair in a shocking new song.The Stan hitmaker sparked a war of words with the superstar earlier this year (09) by hinting that he had slept with her in his track Bagpipes From Baghdad. SACHA BARON COHEN and EMINEM's secret has been uncovered - the pair scripted and rehearsed the outrageous stunt at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards that left the rapper's face buried in the funnyman's crotch. Audience members and TV viewers were left stunned when Sacha Baron Cohen, in character as gay fashionista Bruno and dressed as a giant dove, fell from the roof of the Universal Ampitheater onto Eminem's lap. Eminem was heard angrily protesting before storming out of the show, accompanied by his entourage. The incident provoked furious debate about whether the incident was staged or planned behind Eminem's back. On Monday (01Jun09), Paris Hilton insisted Eminem knew nothing about it and his response was real - but now MTV's head writer has come forward to confess the star was in on it all along. Scott Aukerman writes on his blog, "Yes, the Eminem-Bruno incident was staged. They rehearsed it at dress (rehearsal) and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show."

EMINEM stole the show at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (31May09) by performing a medley of future hits. Eminem performed We Made You and Crack  A Bottle 30 minutes into the Los Angeles event, and admitted it was his first sober performance at an awards show since battling a substance abuse problem he'd hidden for years.   Before the prizegiving he revealed alcohol and "prescription drugs" once helped him prepare for huge live performances.   Eminem added, "Now, it's Diet Coke and Red Bull."

EMINEM is grateful to mentor DR. DRE for contributing to his new RELAPSE record - because the superproducer put his own comeback CD on hold to dedicate time to the SLIM SHADY star. Eminem's protege 50 Cent was forced to push back the release of his upcoming album, Before I Self Destruct, because Dr. Dre was too busy producing Eminem's latest tracks.   And Eminem admits working on his own comeback - his first new music since 2004's Encore - has further stalled the release of Dre's long-awaited Detox record, which will come a decade after his last solo work.   Eminem tells the BBC, "He's recorded a lot of material.   "He was working on his record for a good time period, I would say probably a year, he was working on his record and he basically put that on hold once we got on the road with my record, which I'm extremely grateful for you know."

NICK CANNON has laid his feud with EMINEM to rest - insisting he has no "beef" with the rapper over his song which poked fun at the actor's marriage to MARIAH CAREY.
