Alysons new blog: Hey, everyone! Sorry for the long period in-between blogs. I was traveling across the country, and after my hometown holiday parade, in which I was the Grand Marshall, I caught a little flu bug. In fact, the other 27 people who we spent Thanksgiving with caught it as well. Luckily it wasn’t food poisoning, because I did quite a bit of the cooking for Turkey Day! In fact, I learned how to make a couple new dishes: Scalloped Corn, Green Bean Casserole, and a German Chocolate Cake (from scratch)! If I preferred the taste of coconut shavings a little more, I would’ve tried the chocolate-y goodness and told you how it was. But, there’s something about that texture! No worries, I’ll learn to appreciate it one day! :)
