K&K : Can you please introduce yourselves to our readers.
Hey everyone! We are Jonnie and Brookie.
K&K: How did you guys get started in the music industry?
We started in the music industry when we were 3 and 5. We were in a local singing troupe in our home town and we would perform at events all around our area. After awhile, we decided to break off and start singing on our own and become a band. We both play guitar, bass, acoustic and piano. For the last 10 years we have been performing for many crowds all around the U.S!
K&K: What has influenced you guys musically?
We are influenced by so many things out there. First off, our amazing God has influenced us throughout our whole journey.
Other influence are our amazing fans that have stuck with us and continue to support us! They are the reason we get up and rock out on stage! Then there are sibling groups like The Jonas Brothers, Aly and Aj and Everlife!
K&K: What’s your favorite song to perform?
Our favorite songs to perform our are three of our new originals which are Missing Me Crazy, For Better and Hey Boy. It was amazing writing those songs with our producers from Nashville. When we finally were able to perform them, the audiences took to them really fast and even started singing along, because they have amazing hooks. Our favorite cover song is called No One Like You.
K&K: If you guys could tour with anyone who would that be?
Well of course, who wouldn't want to open for the Jonas Brothers. The first time we met their dad, he said "hey maybe one day you could open for them". Of course, this was before they were huge. But, we're going to hold him to it. We are inspired by their music and it would be a blast to be able to share our love for music with all their fans too!
We also would love to perform with some of the amazing Disney singers like Demi Lovato or Miley Cyrus.
K&K: What does the next year look like for you guys?
In the next year, we have a ton of awesome things planned! We are setting up a new National tour, called Girl Jam and promoting our new CD, For Better. We are also going into the studio to record some new songs at the end of the year. We have some really exciting news to share in the next couple months. We will keep you posted!!
K&K: Where do you see yourselves five years from now?
In five years we would love to see our very own headliner tour across the US. Plus we would love to purse our acting career on television. Of course acting on anything Disney, would be a dream.
K&K: Do you guys have anything big coming up anytime soon?
Well we have our new tour and we've been booked for some pretty big events. But mainly there's some exciting news that we can't disclose just yet. You will be the first to know!!
K&K: Is there anything you guys would like to say to your fans?
Wow! Our fans are amazing!!! They have supported us sooooo much! We love meeting them at our meet and greets and love getting to know them. We have so much in common. We just want to thank them for all their support and thank them for sharing our musical journey with us!!!
